Well, it's certainly been a long overdue update. Life happens like that sometimes though. Here's a few paintings I've done over the past two years. Hopefully I will be updating this site more often now that I'm in a less tumultuous place than I have been in the past year.

Quite a few long overdue paintings to post here... May got a bit insane for me with some major overtime at work and then simply trying to recuperate from it all. I did a few paintings as birthday gifts but also got in two new commissions! Had fun getting to play around with a more cartoonish style for one of these and paint some new dog breeds for the others. Don't get me wrong though, corgis still hold a very special place in my heart. And my bed according to Story.

So, the lovely mother of Rhys gave me the amazing opportunity to paint her adorable dog as my first real commission! It was definitely a new learning experience (especially in time frames though I will be the first to admit I had a crazy past two weeks) but one well worth the effort. I really look forward to this arriving at her place!

Happy Valentines Day (aka day before discount chocolate for us single folk) everyone! Haven't been painting much due to the insanity of starting up a new job but I did get one painting done with a very specific purpose in mind. So here's the news... I'm opening up commissions for the first time! You'll see there's a new tab with information regarding it. I'd write more on the subject but to be blatantly honest I'm terribly nervous at the prospect of doing commissions; but then I was with my new job as well and I seem to be doing just fine at it four weeks later! So I'll just hope for the best. Oh, yeah. Here's a little more Pudge to spark interest:

It's been forever since I last updated, but it's been a crazy year for me. Switching jobs, starting and ending relationships and biggest of all a huge move north to Washington state with my dog Story! I finally have a good workspace setup for myself though which has actually made it a lot easier for me to get back into painting. Heck, I did 20 paintings in just the past three weeks! So here's a bunch of Christmas gifts I made to some very special new friends as well as family members:

Finally got around to doing some art of Story after a long period of no inspiration. Life has thrown a lot at me lately but I'm slowly getting back on track!

Got a corgi of my own AT LAST! But seeing as how he's rather wiggly there's no way to get a good picture of him to paint so instead I took to the corgi community for inspiration! My first commission was for none other than Pudge owned by the kind and wonderful woman who runs Corgi Addict!

Continuing on with the weekly illustrations of Wallace and Ella… This week Wallace teaches her the basic math of dogs: Human + Cute dog = Treats for everyone!

Started finally getting back into the groove of doing art after graduating and I seem to finally have a few ideas for a childrens book I'd like to begin to work on. Next stop: Writing!

Post graduation: Since graduating I've been trying out new mediums to see if there was something else I enjoyed using as much as watercolor. So in this update there's some projects done in gouache and digital mediums as well as some of the footwork of bigger projects I want to work on. Other stuff is just some fun little doodles!
